to fill the holes under the tailgate cap, we ground down the heads of screws to make them rectanular, then fed them through the holes. I held them in with channel locks and Scott (94flamds10blzr) tacked them in place.


and this is after the protruding part of the screw is ground away and the weld is smoothed out


and here it is with the bondo. it started raining on us before we could sand it and prime it, so hopefully tomorrow or Tues. we'll be able to get it done.

Hey Man , looks good .. But the bondo is going to lift or crack because it has nuthing to stick too , you really need to cut the paint (sand) for it to stick ... Good Luck ..

the bondo is on bare metal. when i said we didnt have time to sand, i meant we didnt have time to sand down the bondo and prime it. we bondo'ed over the filler plate and the filled in tailgate cap holes, which have no paint on them.
