Did a little off roading this weekend down in southern Missouri. On the way home when I was turning left I could hear a grinding noise almost like something in my brake. Where I was there were lots of small rocks and sand. I checked the brakes and didnt find anything. My next thought was a wheel bearing. Truck is a 2007 NNBS 7.5RCX w/35s 90k miles. Any thoughts?

My truck does the sane exact thing when I turn left. Specially when I back up and turn left. Hope someone knows

i would think wheel bearing, jack it up and see if you can make the wheel wobble at all

Could be a bent brake shield rubbing on the disk. Many people have bent these and not known it??? If it isnt that it is a bearing like everyone said

I'll for sure check that before ordering the bearings. Its also a 4WD so could it be the from CV axle?

CV's usually make a clicking as they go out.

not from my experiance, CV's normally clunk. when they are bad, like a ujoint

wish i could say the same....
i had the same grinding noise, got it checked today and the drivers side wheel bearing is shot, really bad, told me to get it fixed right away. and the passenger side lower ball joint is bad...Great day!!

I had my right front hub replaced recently because of a similar sound, but I could hear it almost constantly.

when my bearing went out on the old truck it sounded like death. worst niose i have ever heard come from a truck.

mine also makes noises turning and i dont have dust shields :hmm:

i had the same grinding noise, got it checked today and the drivers side wheel bearing is shot, really bad, told me to get it fixed right away. and the passenger side lower ball joint is bad...Great day!!

Thats no good. Mine will prolly go out sooner or later.
