To start things off - Yes, I have searched. I didn't find exactly what I was looking for.
I want to see how people are going about gutting cats on a stock NBS Y pipe. I dont want to cut, which would make things a lot easier, but I don't want to deal with welding them back up. I was thinking if I did cut em out, I could flange them for on/off removal (SMOG), but that's just another place for a leak and yet another attachment spot.
At the front of the Cat there's a nice bend there which goes to the headers. That proves to be somewhat difficult to get around. If I were to come from the rear, the passenger side would be the only feasible one.
Anyways, tips/tricks/ideas are appreciated. I don't need to hear the "dont do it" or "not worth it's" as that's not what I want to "know."
