My left rear parking brake cable for the left rear caliper looks deteriorated. The insulation is splitting, and it's corroding inside. I have no problem with its operation. Just looking to see if anyone has ever removed and installed one. Things like making sure the parking brake is not engaged, and unhooking it from the lthe lever on the caliper seems, and disconnecting the bracket from the shock mount seems straightforward. Anyone know how to disconnect it from the other end? Here's a link for the cable.

i know i've seen a write up for this somewhere. i think its a common thing. do some google searches for "chevy parking brake cable replacement"
