I did a search and found nothing on what size the headlights and DRL's are for a '04 silverado. If anyone can help me out I would greatly appreciate it, I havea burnt out light in each.

DRLs are bulb 4157K, however...you won't be able to find these bulbs (at least I never did). They can be replaced with 3157s. The only difference that I have found between these two bulbs are that the 41s last longer than the 31s (no difference in light output though).

The headlights are 9006 (low beam) and 9005 (high beam)...well they were for my Sierra that is...I don't think they are different on the Silverados...

Hope this helps :bowtie:

ah didn't see the question about headlights...they are the same on silverados as well. Right now i have amber 3157LL bulbs as my DRL's
Yeah...I had some ambers in my last truck...it gives it different look...but you might want to also look into some ricer blue ones too. Sevenfold has them on his rig...and they look sweet too.

One word of advice...if you go amber...splurg a little and grad a couple of more bulbs for your turn signals so they match. It bugged the shit out of me that my old ones were a little off (what can I say? I'm anal about the small stuff :anitoof: ) ...until I got another set for my signals. Wal*Mart has some sick looking....darker orange 3157NALLs. Check them out :bowtie:

i had LED's as my blinkers...well pretty much everything that used a 3157 and a 194 on my truck, i had that lame ass fast blinky action...but then i installed a resistor to get rid of that...but now im back to regular glass bulbs because i didnt get the light spread with the LED's. i also noticed with my LED's a few of them burnt out not the whole bulb but just a few LED's.

That is my number one complaint with those LED bulbs...no spread. There should be some way to get that LED brightness with the spread of a regular bulb....

That is weird because the LEDs use way less power than the regular bulbs...

And that is why they burn out. the DLRs are getting a costant 12 volts and burn out the poor little packed LEDs. Even with built in resistors some LEDs do go out. Love the way they look though.

i believe there was/is a TSB--technical service bulletin---on that exact thing. your local chevy service department should be able to confirm that.
