02 silverado ext cab. hid kit. 04 ss front clip done yrs ago.
The other night my driver low beam went out (hid) acts up sometimes. Anyways now both high beam bulbs light up dim and passenger low beam (hid) still works when on low beam mode. when i switch to high beams, nothing works on driver side and passenger side high beam works as it should. doesnt matter if the lights are switched on manually or auto at night. the high beams are normal bulbs, only low beams are hid. Im stumped, never had issue like this. any help is welcome. I've searched and cant find anyone with the same issue. seems to be a short i would imagine but just started to do it while i was driving last night.

Check a ground wire that should be located in the front bumper, drivers side area. I also have HIDs and had the same issue. Re-grounded a wire and solved the problem.

it sounds like a bad ground to me also. Take the low beam ground and ground them to chassis. This will also make them stay on with the high beams.
also, each side has its own fuse that is shared for high and low. check that too.
