im a big fan of anything alpine especially for ipod control. the CDA-9886 is probably your best bet or the CDA-105. Both under $300

Looking for a good headunit needs to fit in my 98's single din and be able to play cds and ipod. Looking to stay under 300

Anyone have any 100$ or 200$ suggestions Im actually tight on cash probably going to have to go a little cheaper.

Pioneer DEH-P600UB would do all that, but its not as good with the iPod as the 9886 Alpine

make sure you find a unit that allows you to use knobs to scroll.
