im looking to get new tires in the next couple weeks and was looking for some opinions on some that have caught my eye.

they have to be bought at discount tire and the size i am going for is 265/65-17. im going to be all pavement driving and little to no snow since im down here in houston and also no need for any off road tires.

im looking at

Continental CrossContact LX20 - $163

the michelins($212) would be nice but i just don't want to spend that much money. not to mention they seem to like to crack after 2 years.

michelin with green X lasted me over 55k miles and hardly showed any wear

General Grabber HTS imo, though I know it wasn't one of your picks. Costs about the same, is a low rolling resistance tire, and has a 6 year/60k mile treadlife warranty.
thanks. those are another tire that could work. have you had any experiance with them?

thanks but michelins are kinda out of my price range at the moment.

ive had real good results from geolanders. If i couldnt swing michelins, id get yokos

those yokos are what i think my mom had when she got her pacifica but i think to her they were kinda loud (not that big of a factor for me) and seemed to only have 30k miles on them.

u sr need to read better.

i had a diff looking yoko, was sorta AT but not really. I know i got 40k+ out of them too.

do they sell them at discount tires?

might have been the ats...not sure though...was back in 03 or 04 so its been a while

bump for any more people

also added the general tire that mike pointed out. also took out the yokohamas because just remember that they tend to flat spot when sitting a while.

Well im here now getting the cooper htp tires installed with the 4 repair vouchers for $747 out the door. Tires seem to be a good choice and cheaper theb the rest. Also it would of been 4 days if i had ordered the general hts. Will reply back later with my thoughts.
