Z71 Off Road
Alright everyone, been off here for a long time. Been rebuilding my 4l60e. The rebuild kit I bought came with a corvette servo. All is fine and well with it, but mine came with an extra oring that I never had seen on another install. Basically the 2nd apply piston has the groove for the Teflon seal, but this kit had an oring the same size. My question is does it go down on the 2nd apply piston where the housing goes down onto.Hopefully this picture helps explain what I mean. Would any harm be done by installing this? The housing has a chamfered edge and this is the only place it makes sense for the oring to go. I’ve already installed it and it all fit together fine. But I’m second guessing it now. Sorry for the long winded post. Hopefully someone can shed some light for me. Thanks in advance!
