Even if you remove the cross bars aren't the rails still gonna be at the same height?

No because the cross bars bow up at least 1 to 2 inches..I need them off ! lol

And cool that check would be nice !

I will snap a quick pic now , I still have to get the cowl hood painted and installed !

How do i upload here ?? I resized to 50kb it says I exceed size limit of a JPG lol..Here are a few links i guess..

Also if ya notice the rear door, ya can thank that little bender for this lift kit , wheels , tires and cowl hood ill have soon along with a new door and rocker !

Also the total I invested so far is 2400.00 ( Lift , Rims , Tires , installed) the body work with the hood will be 1200 more but still well below the 4700 I was give for the dent ..

From the FSM

1. Remove the rear pad covers.
2. Remove the cross rails by releasing the lever on both sides and sliding toward rear of vehicle.

Nice , I am going to go look to see if it is that easy ! It appeared to me that it would be a complete removal but that looks like it is simpla as unsnapping a cover .

I did a 6" Full drop Pro comp compliments of big chevy !

Its pretty easy to do.

I'm getting the same lift for my 2001 Suburban, same color as your Tahoe too. What size wheels do you have? Is your Tahoe 2 or 4 wheel drive?
