Hey everyone, this is my first post to the forums. Just wanted to say thanks in advanced for any help, its greatly appreciated.

I have a NNBS 2009 Silverado 1500 5.3 It has a Rough Country 5" lift and the 2" leveling spacer as well. Currently I am running Cooper ST Maxx 33 (10.5 or 11.5 wide not exactly positive)

So now for the big question, I've done a lot of searching on the forums and have come up with a mixture of answers and different insights. I want to get rims and possibly 35s for my truck. Will 35s fit with this set up? I would like to stick with a wide 12.5 if possible. I'm looking at an 18x9 rim I just don't know the whole backspace and offset and what I would need to not rub.

The kicker to this all is I need to keep it within the fender flares which I will be adding ass well, more than likely 2 inch fender flares.

If anyone has advice I would like to hear it before I drop the money for this project.

Thanks!

most 9" wide rims will be low positive offset, neutral, or very low negative offset. Will make the wheel stick out around 1" or so more than stock.

So Your around 7" of lift? Have you looked into something like a 305/65/18? 33.5 x 12.

You could simply do a 35 x 12.50 x 18 on a x 9" rim. You will need to trim some plastic though

Sorry guys I will get a picture of the truck up tomorrow. As it sits not it just looks like the 33s are too small for it. I'm not sure if that's because of the small width of the tires, or if the 33s are just too small.

The rims I'm looking at re 18x9 with a 4.75 back space and -6 offset, whatever set up I decide to go with I want to try to keep the tires pretty even with the flares and not sucked in, and so its no rubbing horribly, even if some trimming required.

I have thought about some metric sizes, I'm just not too sure because I have a metric 33 on now ( Ill post the size tomorrow with the picture) I'm sure when you all can see it will help a lot.

Thanks guys!

As im doing more and more searching through the forums and web, I think that with my set up 35s would make it look stuffed..

With a 33" or 34" tire what would be a good back space or offset (not sure of the difference) to run with 2" fender flares (trying to give it a wide stance, but be legal in my state)

I would keep 33s personally unless you want the stuffed look? Rcx increases track width on the front a good bit therefore increasing the chances your gonna rub with anything bigger. Then throw fender flares on top of that and they furthermore make your fender narrower because they come down like a small mudflap at the back of the wheel.

Thanks guys, I've decided I'm going to stick with 33s now I have to decide to keep the tires I have, and get new rims, or get new rims and tires.

I don't think at this time I can justify getting a new tire just to gain an inch on the width.

Would 18x9 rim with -6 offset cause any rubbing? How far would that bring if out past the fender?

Thanks for the input, I'm new to all of this
