I just installed my kicker sx500.2 along with my diamond 6.5" components in my tahoe, rewired the whole stereo with 2awg and stinger expert rcas to the sx but now I'm getting a little bit of hiss from the diamonds, no ground noise when the engine revs but a constant hiss that is hard to hear. Do I need to drop the gain or run an external eq to bump up my preout voltage? I have a brand new eclipse 1/2 din laying around that I could use if necessary but I'd rather not buy more rcas. Anyone shed some light or am I stuck buying a better head unit if it doesn't put out enough voltage?

I just figured it out, I had the gain input voltage set at 8 not 4  Problem solved and I feel like an idiot, too many damn setting on these sx amps but I guess that is a good thing :rocking:
