I was thinking about getting some 8k hid fog lights for my 08 Sierra. However I've heard some stories that they will melt the lenses on the fog lights. Anyone ever experienced this problem? I already have 8k for my lows and highs

Mine have been fine on my NNBS chevy.

There are a ton of people running HIDs in the fogs without any problem, myself included. I think it might be a rare one or two whos installed incorrectly or something that has caused problems.

The problem is caused by glued in bulbs. the silicone gets hot and allows the bulb to sag. there is some problems with the stupid camaro's discoloring housings, but i've started using a 25w ballast for those to eliminate the problem. You shouldnt have any issues. nothing was actually melting, just becoming discolored.

plus if you get the 5202 bulbs (correct size) they are shorter than say 880 or H11's

So the correct number for the fogs is 5202, the site i'm going to order my hids from doesn sell them in a 5202, and there saying that maybe the H10(9145) will work for my fogs. So what do yall think, should I order the H10's or find a diffrent site that sells 5202's.

Order from Spencer on here, he sells the 5202 and is one of the few that does.

h-10/9145/9005 does NOT fit.
