HID & Stock 99-02 Housing

fuck i just have the silver bulbs from sylvania and i get flashed every time i drive at night

as long as the lens isn't oxidized..do it, it will be one of the best things you have ever done to the exterior of your truck

aim your headlights correctly and you wont get that, i have 6000k in Denali projectors and its rare when i get flashed

The only problem I have heard/read about is that there isn't really a cut-off line which may piss lots of people off. In other words, the beam isn't as concentrated like the HID housings. I have Xenarcs and even that line could be sharper :read:

my stock gmc lights had a very crisp line across the top of the beam, not sure about the 99-02 chevy, my buddy just ordered some and will be in this weekend, i'll post pics and let you know

correct, there it no sharp cutoff, but if you aim them correctly not to many people get pissed. I havent had any cars flash their lights at me and no cops have bothered me yet. I actually got flashed more with the silverstar ultra's then i have with HID. With stock lense's i dont know how the output/glare would be since the stock lense's kinda diffuse the light. Mine as well upgrade to a clear lense wihle your at it :rocking:

Anyone know where I could find some stock appearing, clear lensed lights?

I have HID on my 00 Silverado with stock housings. They are on the lows and fogs. Best pics I have of them are below. They are very hard to photograph in the night, to get the "true" look of how they look out on the road. I've yet to be flashed since I put them on, that was about 6-8 months ago.

ebay is where i got my last 2 sets,same product most of the time as big companys without the markup

search "99 silverado clear headlight" in ebay

Get the Xenarcs :imo
