i ordered a set of 6000K 9005 hids for my highs from hidgate on monday and they should be here today or tom. but i was considering doin the high 4 mod with my hids so i don't have to worry about my lows having to kick on and off all the time (cuz i know it's not good for them) my only question is will this mod work with hids? if so, which i'm sure it will, i would think it would be best to do all the wiring for this mod pre-hid ballast. if anybody else had done this already please chime in

Kinda curious here. If you're putting HID's in your highs, doesn't that mean you'd be bumping them off often when switching to low therefore not being good for them either?

The guy that posted the write up for the NNBS 6-HI (highs and fogs on) was running stock halogens. The mod is the same for the NNBS with the diode in the fuse box or BCM. A few guys that tried it with HIDs said the diode melted when they tried it after about 20 seconds.

 just telling you what I've read.

:word: HIDs in high beams aren't a great idea. I use my highs when I can but they're always being flicked on and off plus it takes a minute for them to warm up.

Do the High-4 mod, youll be much happier that way. If your concerned about problems with hid get a relay kit from Mrtaillight.com. I have my lows relayed and my fogs are using the diode and i have been fine for months. Halogen highs tho

I don't sell a 4 hi kit yet, but Im working on it. I was talking about a standard relay. However, it does pAy to check with your site sponsors before you go giving all your hard earned money to some magazine

How long you think the ballast is going to last being swapped between high/low beams?
