DO NOT buy that kit. It is by far the worst designed kit ever made. Everyone I have talked to that has the kit has been going through new steering components like crazy.
worse only to skyjackers lift i believe, or is it the trailmaster lift that messes everyone up?
siye had a problem with his trailmaster I believe... He was from FSC but I hear the trailmaster kits are horrible...

Cooker on FSC runs the 8" fabtech and im not sure if he has had any problems but I dont remember reading any about them...

I had good luck with my 6" fabtech kit and that is the only personal opinion I can give...
so are the 6in fabtech better kits? if not what lift is a good one, i hear pro comp for an 01' is a pretty good lift for 6 in? what do yall think?
i think ill go with the 6in, my older cousin has a 6in fabtech with a 3 in body on a 1500, i wanted to be as tall as his, hince the 8 in suspension, but with the reports ill go with the 6 in, and i have to pay for the lift so ill save some money also, what other lifts are good for 6 in? do yall have any info on the pro comp
Yea, the 8" fabtech is garbage imo

aber, you said you had good luck, but didnt you say it was shorter than a rancho kit?

that is what i'm running 6+3 and i love it.....some day i'll get the camburg kit :bawl:
i have an 8" fabtech on my truck and nothing has gone wrong with it, but i only use my truck to tow my boat and car trailer no wheelin' just for looks, i paid about $5500 out the door with 17" rims and 37" tires.
Yes, it seemed lower then my buddies rancho. Well for a fact I was lower and didnt have as much clearence as he did with his rancho and body compared to my fabtech plus body. I mean it was only by an inch or 2 but when fitting tires that extra couple of inches helps alot... But other then that and the ride wasnt too great, but that was also due to the tires it held up fine. Never had to have it re-aligned in the year I had it never had any front end parts go out. So over all I cant say it was a bad lift, and the truck is still on the road today and I see it often so im sure it has held up fine...
