I am interested in adding the stock homelink to my truck. Does anybody know if
this is a stand alone system. What I mean is, do i need to wire anything into my
antenna or is it all in the console. If I buy the console from a suburban that has homelink can I just swap it for the one in my truck. I would think it would only need low voltage power. But I am not sure.

Thanks,

I have a 2007 silverado classic CC LT3 5.3. I have seen the one I need
on ebay. I am trying to figure out if I need anything else to get it to
work. I am thinking I should only need low voltage (12volt) to power
the remote. But I am not sure if that is all I need. It does have the
overhead console. The litle cubby with the two map lights.

Thanks,

Homelink is a built in garage door opener. It has three buttons one for the garage door. another one can be used for a work gate or door. The last one can turn on garage lighting. It is mostly a built in remote for the garage door.
