I thought it would be a cool/fun project (could call it ricer or whatever you want, did it for fun) to take the turn signal bezels on a NBS truck and add LEDs similar to the audi R8

I took the lights and followed the tutorial on clearing the amber out of you're lights on these forums.

I also took this time to paint the amber plastic black so the ugly chrome and 194 bulb socket does not show.

I first marked out on the light and drilled holes using a 1/32 drill bit for the LED leads.

its kinda hard to see but to the left of the led there are 2 holes for the led leads to go though

the spacing and placement is personal preference, but i opted to go with one led every 1 1/8"

You take the LEDs and bend the leads exactly 90 degrees so they look like this

After marking and drilling all the holes, then inserting the leds through them, you should have something similar to this

You will have to wire the leds in series according to the spec sheet of the leds you end up getting so that the leds do not burn out when you hook them up to 12 volts. For getting the positive and negative outside of the housing, i used a 194 bulb socket to go into the one behind the black lens and wired it up so that on each end of the pigtail is my (+) and (-)

here is a finished pic with the lens on..

I do not have any pics of them lit up because i did not have the correct resistors, tomorrow i should have pics with them lit up..

for wiring in the truck, it is a personal preference again, if you want them to use the turn signals or only turn on during the day, or have them come on with the engine running....

here is a completed pic of the drivers side.

here are some night shots!!! they came out great.

they reflect on the bottom of my chrome on the middle of the grille, thats what you see on top..

cool idea, but on an obs its kinda like putting heated seats on a bicycle
its not and OBS, and why would it be like that? i'll hold judgement for final installed pics, but should people just stop modding older model vehicles? that makes no sense at all

Sorry. they looked square like on a OBS. thats a little better.

and no, you shouldnt stop modding them, but some things shouldnt be retro fitted. i.e.-NOTHING OBS should have projectors. They look like shit, and perform even worse. get some decent clears. Im not a fan of the big wheel craze on OBS, they just dont look as good as say a nbs, or a nnbs. Not everything that comes on new cars nowadays needs to be given back to older vehicles. Kinda like the lambo doors only belong on lambos thing.
Whos putting them on an OBS?
See above.

Is it that time of the month for GMFS members? shit..
