REMOVE THE DOOR PANEL AND 3 TORQUE SCREWS THAT HOLD THE LATCH. MOST GM’S TORQUE SCREW SIZE IS T30.

USING A PICK OR SIMILAR TOOL, CAREFULLY UN-SNAP THE PLASTIC RETAINING CLIP THAT HOLDS THE ROD TO THE BACK OF THE INSIDE HANDLE. PLEASE CAREFUL NOT TO DAMAGE THIS ROD AS YOU WILL BE REUSING IT.

YOU WILL NEED TO REMOVE THE CLIP THAT HOLDS THE WIRING TO THE DOOR AND PUSH IT THROUGH. THIS IS NOT REQUIRED IF YOUR VEHICLE DOES NOT HAVE POWER DOOR LOCKS.

PERMANENTLY REMOVE ALL RODS EXCEPT YOUR INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE ROD THAT ARE CONNECTED TO THE LATCH.THERE SHOULD BE 2 RODS REMOVED FROM NON POWER DOOR VEHICLES AND 3 RODS FROM POWER DOOR VEHICLES.

TO EASILY REMOVE DOOR LATCH UNBOLT YOUR WINDOW TRACK BOLTS. THERE SHOULD BE TWO 10MM BOLTS ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF YOUR DOOR. ONE ON THE TOP AND ONE ON THE BOTTOM. BE CAREFUL NOT TO BEND YOUR WINDOW TRACK OR DOOR LATCH.

POWER DOOR LOCK VEHICLES WILL HAVE WIRING PLUGGED INTO THE LATCH. UNPLUG WIRING GOING TO LATCH.

MAKE SURE THE LATCH IS IN THE UNLOCKED POSITION.SLIDE THE BRACKET OVER THE SAME LEVER. THEN LINE UP THE 3 HOLES ON THE BRACKET WITH THE 3 HOLES ON THE LATCH.

WITH A SCREW DRIVER HAND TIGHTEN THE PHILLIP SCREWS FROM THE BRACKET TO THE LATCH. DO NOT USE POWER TOOL OR OVER TIGHTEN SCREWS.

LINE UP THE MOTOR WITH LATCH LEVER. THEN INSERT BOLT. (IT IS IMPORTANT WHEN PURCHASING YOUR HARDWARE YOU GET THE CORRENT SIZE.)

NOW INSTALL THE WASHER AND NUT. ONLY TIGHTEN ENOUGH SO THE TIP OF THE BOLT IS FLUSH WITH THE NUT.

THIS STEP NOT REQUIRED FOR NON POWER VEHICLES. PLUG IN THE TWO TOP PLUGS. DO NOT PLUG IN PLUG GOING TO THE POWER LOCK MOTOR. ZIP TIE/STRAP IT OFF OUT OF THE WAY OF THE WINDOW.

REINSTALL THE LATCH INTO THE DOOR AND TIGHET THE 3 TORQUE SCREWS (T30 SIZE). RECONNECT THE ROD TO THE INSIDE DOOR HANDLE. DO NOT FORGET TO REINSTALL YOUR WINDOW TRACK BOLTS IF REMOVED.

REPEAT ABOVE STEPS FOR NEXT DOOR.

**Some trucks might require the bracket to be trimmed. On my 97 blazer I had to. Here are some photos of it.
