I am trying to figure out which ignition my 99 silverado has and having no luck. I tried looking at the tag in the glovebox, but I am not locating any of the codes the salvage yard has me looking for. Is there anywhere else it may be listed?

Thanks!

dealer will tell u with the VIN and title in hand.

Are you talking OBS then? Because NBS had no "codes" in the ignition switch/key

technically 2, as long as automatic trans, according to catalog

should be a three letter code on a label or sticker or something attached to the steering column, somewhere

Is it possible one switch was for the new for 99s and the other for previous models if they offered a classic like they usually do during transitions?
