i recently bought a NBS all chrome grille from ebay and i want to install it on my 2000 silverado. how hard is this to do? is it as easy as switching out the front bumper caps? how do i take the old grille off? thanks y'all!
It's real simple, there is only one real bolt in the whole thing, I think it's a 10mm and it's near the hood latch .. then there are 4 twist latches you have to turn with a screwdriver and it pops out.
btw, this is the entire grille...not just the grille inserts. i currently have the one that has only the middle horizontal part chrome and the rest is plastic. this new one is the kind thats on the tahoes, all chrome.
yeah its easy just like b cubed said remove the plastic fan cover top then theres a 10mm bolt near the hood latch remove then 4 twist latches 2 on top 2 on bottom once those are turned then the sides by the lights just have a clip that pops in and out just pull it will pop out
