I have a Summit White (paint code WA8624) 2011 GMC Sierra with a few very tiny paint nicks. Most of them are on the front of the truck; on the hood and on the plastic areas of the bumper. There's another one or two by the side windows and door handle. And one just above the windshield on the eyebrow is beginning to rust. Just wondering what you guys use to touch up these tiny paint chips/nicks.

Will I need to sand any of them? or at least the rusty one?

Does the tube of touch up from the automotive stores work well?

I had a firearm discharge out the top of my roof on an old red ford truck back in the day. I bonded the hole and used touch up paint from AutoZone and it came out well enough. Wondering if the GM trucks have decent results also.

Never had a rusted one but clean the area and clay it real good then put a little dab in to fill the spot. Let it dry and repeat until the level of the touch up paint is flush with the paint around it.
