How big of differance is there from 8.5" wide to 10" wide wheel?

It all depends on the backspacing and offset with how its going to look. Also, if your going to be running a 12.50 wide tire, either wheel will work. I personally like the look the 8.5" wheel and 12.50 tire. But thats just my opinion.

im running x8's on my 35x12.50's..I kinda wish'd i'da gone with a x10 for a little wider stance but i like the tall/skinny tire look.

heres a little photgraphic reference of a 17x8 on a 35x12.50

btw they are 4.5 backspacing

Can someone else get a pic of heavychvyz71's OBS, it has the same lift and tire on a 16x10; it would make for a good comparison.

I've had all of the above. x8, x9, and x10. Like said above, it all depends on the backspacing and offset to show how far they'll stick out and the look of the deeper wheel.

I have issues around here with cops hassling about tires sticking out, so I had to do away with my x10s and move to some 17x9's with 5" B.S. currently. Thats the most b.s. my Cognito lift will allow me to run.

20x10 here... i've always liked the wide look for tires/wheels though. I don't like it when guys have 35s on x8 wheels, because they look tall and skinny, and trucks shouldn't have tall skinny tires on em:imo

I've ran x10 with 4", x10 with 3.5", x12 with ~3.5"

The wider the better I say. TYPICALLY, x8's and x10s have very similar backspacing, with the 2" difference being on the outer section of the wheel.
