I have to replace my HVAC controls ('02 2500HD) and was wondering if the newer year controls will work in my truck. I dont mind a little fab work, I relocated my controls overhead and am now moving them back (new dash, current HVACs were modified to fit overhead).

The ones for the "dual climate" '03 and up are much better looking imo. On ebay I also saw some for a Malibu that looked simular, but better. So if anyone knows if there are newer models that I can wire up, lemme know. Thx

With a donor truck, access to all of GM's service manuals and a Tech 2 scan tool the answer would be, maybe.

Seriously though, the dual climate control air box is completely different, much of the wiring you need doesnt exist, the shape of the controls will not fit your dash, the list goes on.

99-02 and 03+ interiors are pretty different when you get down to it. It would be easier to get a 03+ truck, cheaper too.
