well as some of you may know i have 2000 tahoe ive been trying to unload for sometime now i live in cali and they wont register it here from a stupid law so i have ot sell it out of state. well i found adealer willing to trade my tahoe for an 01 sierra ecsb 4wd my tahoe has 40,000 miles on it the sierra 64,000. so the blue book values are the same ,well a deal was made i give them my tahoe and pink slip since i hold the title and 2000 bucks so i drove to reno today from stockton 190 miles so they can get me there and then say oh well we will give you 13000 for the tahoe so give us 5500 bucks and the tahoe needless to say im very pissed off because they baited my ass brought me in and tried to doop me for an exra 3500 bucks screw that crap. now i brought the tahoe home and dont have the truck im calling the owner of that lot tomorrow they tried to pull a fast one im not lying down on this anyone have this type of crap happen before, tell you one thing then get you in the office and try to finance you on all kinds of money i hate that crap. well had to blow off some steam thanks for reading have a nice day

My truck was just sent to Louisiana and the trucker said he brings trucks from Texas all the time to Cal. He said they go to a referee and they put a sticker on it. Then you can get it smoged. I would check into something like this. He wasn’t 100% sure how it works but I would give it a shot.

well the just of it is i bought the tahoe in 2001 as a 2000 model i got it off ebay from a dealer in florida it was used and had 4,256 miles on it i got it here off a delivery service soon as i got it off the truck i took it and got it smogged then went staright to dmv to title it in cali. well they look at it and say well it only has 4,265 miles on it and i say yeah so. and they say well in cali you cant bring an out of state vehicle in with less than 7500 miles on it so basically since then ive beeen fighting them to keep my truck and i cvant sell it to any cali residents so it really screws me over i drove on the florida plates until they expired last year.so watch your purchases on ebay.

ddi your truck have a california epa sticker on teh fan shroud or one that is 49 state i have a 49 state sticker thats why they screwed me over if it said california on that sticker on the fan shroud they would have accepted it.

did that i drove it for 2 years on florida plates totaling up to 40,000 miles went and smogged it and then took it to the good old cali dmv only to be told that its in the computer systems as being brought into state with 4265 miles on it so its red flagged here. well i got a hold of the owner of the car lot and hes willing to make a deal so hopefully soon the tahow will be gone and the sierra will be mine.then pismo here i come.
