I have a decent wheel well gap in the front of my CC, even with the 2" drop and 40 series tires. I am thinking of going another inch.

Anyone have a recommended coil? I have the IAS shocks designed for a 2" drop, I hope this isnt a problem...

I would go 4/6, but I really dont want to be that low in back, etc. I am pretty pleased with the look of the 4" drop in back, just want a tad more of a raked look...

i know tfunit's truck with a ~3" coil rubbed terribly on his 285/40 with passengers. He has gashes in his tire.

4.8 and 5.3L CC's are Coil, 6.0 are torsion. Mine is a 5.3L with coils...

Tfunit's truck could have rubbed for a number of reasons. My wheels are set to tuck and they are 22x8.5, not 22x9.5/10, etc, and they are 265/40/22, narrower tire than a 285/40...

if you got helpers then why would it matter if it was 4/6 jw, cuz I think it'd look nuts, or you could drop the rear 5" buy my 1" lift shackles brand new DJM, and then do a flipkit, then get the front down that 1"

werd, you should be fine with 3" of drop on a 22x8.5 w/265/40

04silveradoscott is running a 285/45/22 on his bonspeeds w/2" of drop and there set to tuck and they dont rub or barely rub

If you have spindles already, just get a set of 1" coils. If you have 2" coils, you'll need to get 3" coils, or spindles and 1" coils.

Hmmm... guess I shoulda rephrased the question a lil simpler:

Does anyone recommend a particular 1" drop coil?

Also... I would run a 4/6, but I really dont want to cut the frame on this truck and I really would run into some issues at the boat ramp as well as getting my boat up my driveway with a 4/6...

I also dont want to run a 35 series tire... lil much for NC roads where I am.

The way the truck sits now, it almost looks like the back is a tad lower than the front, but when I measure it, it all equals out. The pic in my signature has air in the helper bags, when it is deflated, the tire fills the wheel well perfectly, and then the front has like a 2" gap...

I'll try to get some better pics tomorrow of what I am referring to...

Where u at in n.c.?
We have a house in Sherrills Ford, NC... about 30 minutes N of Charlotte and 7 miles west of Mooresville...

On Lake Norman if that helps?

Me my self I love a little rake. How are those shocks treating you? I have some nitro actives but they have about 25-27,000 miles on them. plus I just put the 22's on it so I think its time to buy some new shocks.

I think it would look better with rake then draggin the ass. Can't help you with 1" springs, but I think it would look better like that.
