Hey guys,

Just looking for some advice on how to check either of these areas for problems before I order the parts I'll need. I had my rig into the shop earlier in the week to get my new wheels on and they said they weren't able to get it ligned up because of my idler arm. The mechanic pushed outwards on the inside of the tire while it was on the platform and there was a lot of play?

My alignment is a little bit off, the truck does wander a little bit, my steering wheel is not straight, and when going around slow (30km/h), long, winding corners, I feel an ever so slight rattle vibrating from somewheres through my steering wheel and pedal. My tires we're a little worn on the inside edges up front.

He said the balljoints were tight.

Also, is there a way to replace the seal that is in the upper portion of the steering gear assembly? Right next to the firewall I have a leak and the dealership is telling me its non service and they want $1150 for the assembly lol

Sorry the truck is 2007 GMC NBS ext cab

Thanks a bunch!! It's been raining steady here for over a week so as soon as it stops I'll clean up the ride and post some pics!

Easiest way is t get a friend to sit in the truck and turn the wheel back and forth(while its not running) and look to see how much slop is in it. If either is worn usually you will constantly turn the the wheel left to right to keep a straight tracking.
