first off what is the lowest stock gear ratio for a FF 14? 4.56 I'm guessing, I did the math and I can run a 4.56 to get me by for now. plus that would get my rims and tires here quicker.

you can go down as deep as 5.38 on 14 bolts
in a STOCK rear end? I'm talking from the factory. I know about the 5.38s in the aftermarket. but I'm only running a HP 44, so 5.13s is as deep as I'll ever need.

4.56 isn't hard to find in a 14b...but why not jsut go ahead and rebuild it? they are super easy to gear and everythings cheap.

the rust isn't that bad in person, it did however rust a lot more after I quit driving it 2 months ago.

Lookin good. My truck looks the same right now, not because I'm going SAS though. Not in the cards right now. Keep the pics comming.

Look for a 14 bolt out of an 80s CUCV. They will be geared 4.56 and come with a detroit.
that might work out great, I'm part of the Army.
