I agree the level of workmanship, attention to detail and the pristine quality of the truck itself made this one of, if not the best build I've followed. Kinda reminds me of @SamCarroll when he wasn't happy with his truck... slammed one month, two months later lifted, three months later slammed again, two months later back to stock, three months later then sold :(

No turning back now. It definitely comes off easier than it goes on. Had almost the entire kit off within 2hrs. The turbo itself was tough because of the heat cycles and lack of access to the hardware on the Chinese turbo

Sad part is there really isn’t any more builds going on in here other than a bunch of old dudes bitching

And young dudes bitching about old dudes bitching. Seems to be contagious.

I must be missing bc I don't see anyone bitching about builds. I gave Sierra a hard time about his trailer hitch and for some reason he thinks I'm anti-mod now/is having trouble getting over it. I give props when I see something I like, always have. But complaining about there being no builds going on is like noticing the sky is blue. Pretty darn obvious. Part of it is forum traffic, the rest is just GMFS I think. I don't know, I'm relatively late to the game.

More progress. All turbo parts are off, oil pan is plugged for both supply and drain, coil packs are back up top, and all gauges and wiring has been removed. Just waiting on motor mounts and long tubes before I can progress any further.

:alone:

Got the new motor mounts, headers and y pipe installed after work yesterday

Drivers side o2 has plenty of clearance

Passenger side wiring barely touched the frame, but nothing to worry about

Also got the turbo exhaust removed from the truck

More progress today. Got the coilovers harness routed to both sides, PCV hose wrapped in techflex

MAF wiring routed to airbox. It's ziptied to the steam vent line

Swaybar installed. Going to have to reroute the brake line so it doesn't get pinched

Towhook covers installed

Intake and catch can permanently installed

Just need to remake the harness for the coilpacks that mounts to the bracket, buy a new coolant hose (I don't remember cutting my OEM one but it's too short now), wrap those in techflex, get a new tune file and it will be ready to start up. I still need to order a catback exhaust so I can do a finally install of the y-pipe. It's just loosely installed under there right now

Corsa cat back. Used the same long tubes on it. That thing sounded so good, 1000 times better than any muffler combo iv ran.

Axles, 5" driveshaft, and 1350 pinion yoke are removed and OEM parts put back. Just need to figure out what to do for the driveshaft.

Traction bars removed.

Engine bay is 100% now, just need to reinstall the OEM injectors
