ok, maybe i'm missin the point of this...are you wanting to inject water into the intake manifold? sounds like that would be a bad idea :imo

No its a way of cooling the air charge so you can cram more air into the cylinder.

It it a nice thing to add to blower and turbo systems. What brand of blower? The only negative to this is when you use it too much. Problem is that it will actually wash the cylinder walls and rings free of any oil. Again, that is constant use....not occasional.

Here are a few links...
http://www.carollsuperchargering.com/ - They have a good amount of info on gasseous intercooling. Putting it roughly water injection is to intercooler as nitrous is to supercharger.

James B., who is a regular on the pac audio forum has a rather extensively modded whippled Tahoe. Here are some great links to some of his threads. He's running the Carroll GenIV system. It's 100% reliable and issueless - works great. Here's a history of his progress with it.

His current configuration, as I last knew, was a 2.5" pulley, making 9-10psi boost with the 15GPH nozzle.

ok, i'm still not understandin how it works. got a pic of it?
Its like a heater, except backwards. They run cool water though a heat exhanger and blow the hot air from the supercharger over the exchanger, cooling the air and since cold air is more dense you can pack more of it into the same space, so you can add more fuel and make more power. Same concept as a cold air intake except much fancier.

It will very easily if it's done wrong. Really, the water being injected is atomized....

If it forms droplets or is injected in a stream and pools the engine will not last long.

Not sure what your saying but the water goes in there as a gas form right ? Two atoms of hydrogen and one oxygen , so thats where you get the more air to it ?

Water is injected as a super fine mist. It cools the air intake charge by absorbing the heat. Lower the intake temp the denser the air going in. The denser the air going in the more power you make. On a blower of turbo setup this is pretty important as you can gain back some of the power you loose when the compressors heat up the intake charge. The water injection cools the compressor charge giving you more power. This is the same theory as an intercooler.....give us guys with blowers with no IC the possibility to create more power.

word, camerons explained it perfectly, if you guys understand boost you know that more boost= more heat. More heat leads to detonation which will toast your engine. this thing cools everything down :whip:
