Well i am getting a different truck here soon and wanna build it to take a molesting, plan on working in the woods. my question is, has anyone seen a truck using air shocks instead of coils? a buddy wants me to help him to do this his ranger and i was like is that even possible? i wonder if this is doable under a nbs. these are what he is using at 375 psi

First you'd have to max out a 2.5 to hold up the front of a fullsize hopefully.

Secondly you still get the floppy airshock quality.

Airshocks, making off camber scary since 2000.

You really want coilovers or coils.

So it would work for a little truck but even then marginal. guess i'll toss that idea in the shitter, thanks

I wouldn't say marginal for a little truck, they do a fair job of suspending lighter weights and there are those that use them in competition. Hell Campbell won the first KOH with one off bypass air shocks on his moonbuggy.

But yes, I'd toss the idea of air shocks on a fullbody fullsize.

Nonsense you just need to run 2 at each corner and your set!
Word, run Nightstalkers like the monster trucks!

Chris swapped from coilovers to Nightstalkers just before TTC this year and Kevin was driving it and said he's never been in a more floppy rig. The stupid body just pitched over whenever it liked.

I can't have that kind of height. I just want the durabilty of a solid axle, i might just say fuck it and try to find me a '87 K30 big block, stick.
