Anyone running a K&N Blackhawk CAI on a 5.3? Thought re: erformance, sound, etc. with all of the talk of the oiled filters messing with the MAF I am thinking about this route.
You can get a Spectre dry flow from the local auto part store probably. Will work just as good as any other. The Airraid MIT+dry in filter has been proven to be the all around best by BBP.
only time an oil type filter damages a MAF is when people oil the shit out of it. A light coat is all you need...Even the spectre i just bought has a light oil coating.
I have the K&N Blackhawk on my truck. The only reason you should buy that setup is because it is a dry filter. I do lots of offroading so I wanted a dry filter. My two pennies. Great intake and looks cool.
