Hey,
I have a leaky steering rack and pinion in my 03 silverado 2wd, Its leaking pretty bad from the drivers side dust boot, I pulled the boot off and there was alot of fluid. I have also noticed alot of center play lately. Does anyone know what brand of rack to buy to replace it? All of them seem to be manufactured. I've heard that they don't leak but they still have that center play, (who knows how many miles it had before they rebuilt it).

Thanks for any advice on what brand or where to buy it from!

Yes, I have actually found a place that has racks locally (the core charge and cost to shop makes online not cost efficient) I guess I need some insight as to what brand of re-manufactured rack will be just as firm as a new one would and not leak or lose its "firmness" :hmm: steering racks of course.

I assume the AC Delco rack will probably be the best bet?

Got the Delco rack... Not to impressed with it, steering play is alot better, but the line was all bent up (had to go and replace it with my stock line), and they did not change the rubber bushings Just thought I would let you guys know!

was this form a GM dealer? Rebuilt i guess and they did not change the bushings???
