07 NNBS...Does anyone know if there is a LED taillight (red or smoke/black) that is totally LED? I have been looking at LED taillights and it seems the only ones I can find have conventional bulbs in the reverse lights. If I am going to go LED I would rather go totally LED. Any help is appreciated.

Yea, why not just buy the bulbs? That's what I plan on doing here soon. Most wait..All of the aftermarket LED tail lights look like some shit out of fast and furious 7 :nono:

I was hoping to find some LED taillights that were smoked or black that sill look stockish since I have a grey truck. So what LED bulbs do we use for the reverse lights if I pickup a set of LED taillights? Is there a an all encompassing tread for all LED lights for the entire truck? Looking at slowly converting to total LED lights.

Thanks

I got the bulb part #'s for my 95 chevy k1500 the other day since I'm about to order all interior/exterior LED's soon.

Tail lights bulb #s: 3 bulbs in each tail light.
Brake/Park bulbs (2) #3057
Reverse bulb (1) #3156

Hope this helps. Someone told me sylvania's website has a bulb guide for our trucks. Might want to check that and double check. Also you could buy a "similar to stock" aftermarket tail light with LED's and then tint it so you can't see all the ******/ricer chrome see through bullshit in them...

most are 3156 or 3157 in reverse light. I bought LED aftermarkets for my OBS, had almost direct stock with smoked reverse, now have black that i plan on lightly smoking. NNBS has a lot of options in aftermarket, some are very nice. If you choose to just do LED bulbs, this will be helpful http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProducts/AutomotiveLighting/LampReplacementGuide/

Just make sure you have proper resistors if you do just bulbs, there are several threads on this.

Austin, I do plan on doing ALL my truck's bulbs with LED's but I'm not familiar with all the electrical stuff. What are resistors and why do I need them? Where do they go?

Some have told me they make bulbs with resistors built in, others wire them in at the light, they simulate the load and power consumed by the OE style light, because LED's dont use nearly as much power, it will cause the truck to think a bulb is out if you dont have the resistors and will blink fast. I had the OE style Ebay lights that were plug and play, but had the boards built in and leds evenly spaced for 3 years with no issues, and only like 120 bucks. the light output seemed more pleasing to me than bulbs in stock ligths.

I stuck a set of the Spider LED reverse bulbs in my cousins trailblazer, they look pretty nice in the reverse light.

Where did you get this "spider" set of LED bulbs?

I want to avoid using superbrightleds again at all costs. Last time I ordered 6 gauge bulbs. Only 2 of them worked and they wouldn't let me return them. Dumbest $20 I've ever spent. I tell everyone to avoid that place so looking for a better place with more quality LED's.

Also guys I want my interior and exterior reverse led's to be WHITE. Superbrightleds has a "cool white" but really it looks bluish and a "warm white" that looks like my stock bulbs now. Does ANYONE know a store that carries true QUALITY WHITE LED's???

they all have a blueish tint, thats really considered true white because of the color of the light on what you see IMO, I bought all my LEDs from US sellers on ebay, no problems at all. There are pics of my bulbs, identical to his in a thread about how to smoke tails here somewhere haha

Sorry...I have a Silverado.

SM3Silverado,
Those lights are what I am looking for...just smoked/blacked. What bulb number is in your reverse light?

Thanks for all the information.
