Level kit install

903 Views 4 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  willymac
I have an 07 4X4 Silverado and want to install a skyjacker level kit. Does anyone have any tips or tricks to add to the directions that come with the instructions. The directions dont say anything about removing the anti lock brake wire harness. When I diconnect the outer tie rod, and the upper a-arm from the steering knuckle. Will the steering knuckle and brake assy just rest on the lower a-arm ball joint with out damage???

Thanks in advance

removing the brake wire isnt important if u r good with tools..the other manuf.s say that you have to so you wont snap the wire or harm it while instaling the kit
You don't need to disconnect it, just get someone to hold up the knuckle and hub or prop it up on a jackstand like I did. Just try to make sure that you don't tug on the wire or brake line too much.
Do you have to support the Knuckle and brake assy so it does not pull out far enough that it pulls the shaft out of the differential.
