I was talking to a friend earlier today about general hauling in the bed...I explained that when we put like 20 or 30 1ftx1ft big, 1inch thick stepping stones in the back of my truck, the bed would squat down quite a bit.

My friend said he replaced his stock rear shocks/suspension of his '80 (or 85, don't exactly remember) F-150 extended cab, with a 3/4 ton shocks/suspension set. He said this helped with his loads he does (what ever he carries in the bed).

Which leveling kit should I do? Bring the rear down or pull the front up?

After the leveling, would it be possible to add a 3/4-ton shocks/suspension set to the rear?

It is just an idea, I don't know if I'll actually do that stuff.

You could install an add a leaf in your existing spring pack or get 3/4 ton springs, which would give you ~1.5" lift in the rear at the most depending on how old the are.
