Hello,

I have an 06 GMC sierra crew cab z71 4x4. I was wondering if there we any lifts that are dependable. i dont do a lot of off roading but im sure after i lift it i will but i wont be beating the hell out of it considering its the only vehicle i have. I was looking for around a 4" lift and be able to fit 33x12.50 without the wheels ticking out from the fenders real far. I know that having a 12.50 wide tire will stick out its pretty much unavoidable but i want a lift that will be able to keep the wheels inside the finder wells. any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Todd

What wheels are you going to run them on? I have ran 35x12.50's on stock 17" rims & my tires sat flush with my fender. You have to give us some specifics and we can try to help ya. the biggest thing is we need to know what wheels you plan to run. & correct me if I am wrong, but I dont believe a 4" suspension lift is an option for your year truck. I think your options are 6" suspension lift, leveling kit, or body lift. Im a rookie too, but you have to start somewhere.

Cognito 4-6in kit. Awesome riding and extremely durable lift, after all they specialize in gm lift kits, my brothers 4in Cognito kit rode better than factory untill it was cranked to 6in.

Sorry Todd. I completely forgot about the rough country 4" b/c it is basically the same kit as the 6" but the 6 comes with bigger rear blocks. Also, the 6 &4 inch lifts are the same price. Why not just go ahead & buy the 6"?

I was also thinking about doing a 2" lift. Would i still be able to run 33s with just a 2" or a leveling kit? And the reason for not lifting it 6" is because my wife is 5'1" and she has trouble putting our daughters car seat in as is haha.
