Well I picked this beaut up on Monday! Gonna restore and DD it.

Specs:

1986 K10

305 103,000 original miles(bad bearing supposedly)

Np208 TC with 700r4

3/4 ton axle swap out of an 88 suburban.

Brand new 6" lift

37x12.5x16.5 bf Goodrich tires 98% tread.

Everything is stock except those last few things!! Even the radio and it works!!

The bad: a few tiny fixable rust spots on the cab corner.. The 305 needs work but luckily I have a 350 to drop in. Hopefully everything else works! Needs windshield!

The PLANS::

8 lug rally wheels

Then I'll swap to 37" toyo MTs

Ls Swap eventually (5.3 or 6.0)

Dual front shocks(bilstein shocks)

Dual steering stabilizer

Paint and body work (original color)

New trim and stock grille.

I'm sure I'm missing something also!!

Gonna drop distributor in and see if the bearings are bad and swap em out!

You leaving the interior all original? I've seen a couple oobs with nbs swapped interiors. They look pretty clean. Motor Looks good, you had it or you did you just pick it up?

Yes I may change it from the light tan to the reddish brown color if I do change the interior. The motor is one my dad has had for years but I recently acquired it from him to do the swap. It was in a non running 83 2wd swb.

Been a few weeks since I've posted.. Both motors out with the 350 bein cleaned and painted..

BUT I may be getting a complete 99 silverado with a 5.3 (130k miles) in it given to me..

So I may use it in the k10 as I would have almost everything I'd need from the 99.. Hmmmm.
