I want to get my dad a light bar for Christmas to put in the lower slot of the front bumper, he has a 2011 GMC Sierra 1500.

Anyone know what size I should get and where to get mounting brackets for that?
I circled where I want to put it in the picture below

and btw im new to this forum.
I drive a 2010 Aqua Blue Metallic Camaro ss (thats the reason for my username) with twin turbos and a built motor
and the truck is my dads 2011 GMC sierra 1500 with a 3 inch procomp lift, fuel wheels, and 33's

Any 20" single row light bar will work. Bracket can be easily fab'd in an hour or less. There's a perfect spot for the mounts back there. I usually do a 20" installed in that slot for around $200... and don't waste your money on rigid. I've seen rigid actually been beat by no names

explain beat. Beat by opinion or actual facts.

Explain no names as there are many brands no one has heard of but does not mean they are a no name.

Rigid has decent products does not mean there is not as good of products for less

I mean I have put the light bars from my distributor against rigids, and the customers always went with mine. I can't say brands, because I get different boxes every once in a while. 99% of the time, they are Phillips leds. And in a dark shop, they are much brighter than rigids. Never had a single failure in 3 years or selling from this distributor.

Bright is relative. Anything can be bright. What they actually do with the light is another story. rigid has good optics but there are others that use the same. I am sure people choose them because they are cheaper not because they actually know what they are looking at.

there are many reliable lights that are not rigids

Ok, so I parked a 20" rigid next to an off brand 20", both single row, but combo beams. The rigid dimmly lit a roughly 3' circle that wasn't usable much more than a lane width for 30'. The off brand bar lit up ditch to ditch for 30+ feet and illuminated a much larger spot on the wall with much more intensity. That my friend, is beating in my book

That is a far more descriptive explication than when I first asked. Also specs like what watt led and type of lens.

As I said bright is relative.

120-130 watt combo beams. Meaning the optics are 60* flood on the edges, 30* spot in the middle... I'm just saying there are brands out there that compete with and beat rigid. Factually. Sorry if that offends you if you're a rigid lover, but there's a reason I don't carry rigid anymore as well as the rest of the distributors around me.

Far from a rigid lover. Apparently you never read my posts as I said that there are compare available for less. you just did not explain well enough at first.
