If this has been covered before, please redirect me; I couldn't find it.

I have an 05 Sierra that I replaced the shift mechanism on (the part the shifter screws into). In the process, I had to remove the lock cylinder and the ignition switch, but now I can't get the two realigned properly. Either, it's too close to "crank" and I can start it but can't turn the key back far enough to shut down the electronics and remove the key, or I can turn off the electronics and remove the key, but can't turn it far enough forward to crank it. Have any of you had his problem? If so, how were you able to fix it?

Thanks for any help you can provide.
