how old is the truck? and how many miles are on it?

some of that shit really doesnt need to be looked over if its the 06 in your sig.

Dave
i wouldnt do hardly any of that on such a new truck, change the oil, check all fluids, tire pressure and your good to go

Yep...thats all you need to do. ( if its the 06')

Tow it behind the '06 and you should be fine...

J/K A basic tune up should do the trick, inspect everything and replace anything that's questionable. Think of it this way, was this car going to last you another 1500 miles anyway? If so, then no reason to believe it won't make this trip. Traditionally highway miles are kinder on cars anyway.

Make sure to carry water and get your AAA up to date...
got new tires put on, had the oil and filter changed, had the alt. and battery tested, and a 20 point inspection done. everything seems to be good besides a really slow leak somewhere. more of a seep of oil than anything
Shouldnt be a problem, usually cars that drive everyday can make long trips too. If youre leaking oil just be sure to carry some with you and check it when you fill up. I wouldnt change anything drastic becuase then its untested and you dont know how it will hold up
I think that unless the hoses look to be dried out, leave em. Sometimes old hoses create a great seal on the clamped ends. I can recall more than once having to take a knife to a hose that just wouldnt slide off. Changing the fluids is probably a good idea if it hasnt been done in a long time. Otherwise, I'd say you're good to go as is after the new tires :)
