I can't seem to find any wheel spacer/adapter for GM 6 x 5.5" (6 x 139.7mm) bolt pattern to GM LML 8 x 180mm. I found a nice set of Denali 20's (5 spoke star style) with nice 33's for an awesome price, but cannot find adapters for my 1/2 ton. I found ones for my 6 lug to previous gen HD's ( 8 x 6.5").

I've googled, ebayed, checked motor-sport tech...

Anyone know if they exist? if so, where??

I want wheel spacers anyways, so looking for 1.5"-2" adapters/spacers.

Thanks :drink_nl:

Motorsport tech claims that they can build almost any adapter. They may not be sitting on a shelf waiting for a buyer, but they should be able to build them. But, you might pay as much for them & the Denalis to equal a set of aftermarket wheels that fit.

I understand the difficulty in finding just the right set of wheels. I love the 5 star 20" design myself. But, when it comes to price, that situation I spoke of comes up every time. Plus, I never find a set of the 5 star wheels for a killer price. At best, $250/wheel. I have found a set of replicas for under $750.

Theyre still for sale, but If I cant find adapters, not going to get them, not worth having them for no reason lol

New project. See if the correct HD hub/bearing parts will fit your spindles. :signs8: Funny, but partly serious.

In other news, if you find a wheel design that looks like the HD 20" 5 stars in a 6 lug pattern, pass the info on to me please.

That would be cool to find, let me know if you do. Would love to see about getting some of the newer 8 lug wheels for my 1/2 ton. Can you post a pic of those rims, would love to see them.

Hub assy's are splined, so I'd need to fit HD axles also even if HD hub assy's with the 8 bolt pattern fit into my spindle. I think it is possible If I was running a lift, as there are 6-8 bolt billet adapters that replace CV spacers. (a member sells them). But who-knows if an HD bearing is the same size in width/diameter as a 6 lug???? :sunot:

I've wanted to run these on my half ton too. I am surprised nobody makes 6 lug replica...mmm a set in 22" or 24" would be sweet.

Just because the center of the bearing assembly has splines doesn't mean that the truck has to have 4WD. The hub assemblies bolt directly to the spindle. If the holes for the 6-lug & 8-lug trucks were to line up properly, the only remaining question would be the large center hole in the spindle itself. If it isn't big enough, we could always enlarge it for the 8-lug assembly to fit. But, I don't have these parts just laying around. I was debating going to the junkyard today, so if that happens, I'll see if there are any trucks with exposed spindles.

Like I say, there are the 8-lug replicas. I agree that if 6-lug replicas were made, I would be on them in record time. But, GMC just introduced a new 2500HD All Terrain model with some wheels that look great & will take a while to become plentiful.

FYI, you cannot fit the 6x5.5" and 8x180mm pattern on the same piece of material without holes crossing each other so it will have to a 2 piece assembly. It's not a popular enough conversion for anyone to stock them I'm sure, but any machine shop could build them.

If I were you, I'd buy the $600 wheels and tires, keep the tires, sell the wheels (you could probably make all your money back or better with the right buyer), and get something that fits without the adapters.

I don't see why not. The 6x5.5" converts to 139.7MM. Those 6 holes will all be inside the size of the 180MM pattern. But, since you mention it, I wonder if the adapter would be able to offer a hubcentric lip for the HD wheels. The center bore size may be close to 139.7mm & would interrupt the bolt pattern. At the worst, someone may have to go lugcentric. In such a scenario, I'd agree with the OP & pass the good deal up. Sometimes a good deal isn't such a good deal.

The center points of the holes will have clearance sure, but the hole itself, the head of the studs and the conical seat will interfere. The center bore of the 8x180mm wheels is 131mm, and would interfere as well if you were to try to make a full hub centric ring, but that ring could be trimmed in the interfering areas only.

This got in-depth fast! And I thought about keeping tires, and buying rims. Problem is there are like 0 6 lug 20's for sale that are not retarded chrome ugly ones. And would cost me 1000+ for a new set (which I don't have).
