I have a 2007 NNBS GMC Sierra, SLT. Truck came with a 6-disc changer with Bose. I recently swapped to a navi unit and the door chimes, and turn signal indicators are so loud you can't hardley stand it. I took it to the dealer to get a re-program and was told I can't help you. Surely there has to be a way to fix this issue? Help me please!

Thanks

The interface box that is behind the radio that is used to keep the door chimes etc when installing aftermarket system may have a volume adjustment on it. I suggest a teardown and see what unit is back there if you dont already know.

Is it an aftermarket headunit?

If so, they used an aftermarket harness to retain those. There's a box behind your radio that produces the tone. Normally, we wrap it in electrical tape because it can get loud. More severe methods can be taken as well (if needed).

It's not an aftermarket head unit so it will have to come from a re-program. I'm just trying to figure out what will it take to do so.

Thanks

Mine had a GMRC01 I think it was box. The instructions said you could break a solder joint to make it quieter. I just left it loud. I got used to it, and it got peoples attention when they didn't put their seatbelt on.

Ive still got the box, the crooks too off with the harness.
