if its a stock motor you will actually lose power down low big time with true duals.
go LTs with ORY

Motor would have a mild cam(206/212) and be bored to 5.7 liters. Would true duals be beneficial in this situation?

I'm not set on either. Just want some feedback from people with 5.3s. My auto shop teacher and I have had heated debates on which is better performance wise. He has a 5.3 swapped zr2 with true duals. I'm for y pipe cause of cost, but I don't want to leave. extra power on the table if I don't go true dual. I just want the facts haha!

Jake Stevens is the man. Very smart teacher who taught me a lot so listen to what he says

FWIW my true dual straights killed my low end

for that setup LTs and ORY would still be plenty for you.
true duals is really overkill for you and will hurt your low end more then help.
I am currently still running ORY with my setup

On the hd trucks they are tru dual to the muffler, then single out. I cut my single off and went dual 14" maggys and 2.5" to the rear. Have no complaints, but it have the 6.0 also
