these came off my chevy (6x5.5) but the previous owner had another put in them as well. so i want to put these on a 5x5.5. with that being said will these wheels fit a 5x5.5? i thought they might, just want another opinion

NO. There are lots of wheels out there now drilled to fit the GM-6x5.5(139.7mm) and Ford 6x135mm patterns like that. I doubt the owner had them drilled to do that, probably came that way.

You will not be able to do 5x5.5 as there is no possible way to drill a 5 lug pattern inside the 6 lug pattern without hitting existing holes even if it wasn't already dual pattern.
