I have the 17"+ spindles on my truck. The rims were stolen and the insurence needs to but it on wheels to evaluate it. I have a set of gm steel 17" wheels as spares but the body shop says they dont fit on the front whats up with that?

Could the ball joint be to long and the nut is hitting the rim? i know its close on my 20s. Might have to trim some off.

you need to grind down the bottom bolt on the spindle to clear 17's. I needed to do that to put my stock 18's back on.

you have to cut off the threads below the nut...they all require that...hopefully you have the shorter nut or your screwed

doubt it. i never installed a 16" spindle but im pretty sure you gotta still trim some thread on the ball joint. maybe no need to grind down the nut
