I got my new Alpine CDA-9887 to play once with the Metra GMOS 04. I took it all apart to mount and now the HU wont turn on at all. Check all connections twice and still nothing.

I think I am gonna order the PAC. It also looks to be less wires, is this correct?

Well i threw stock radio back in before i left this morning and it came right on and worked:flame::flame:

so it was not the radio fuse.

Did you check the fuse on the back of the Head Unit?

Easiest way is to have some long leads coming from the battery
Ground the Black wire
Wire the Red/Yellow wires together and run to positive
MAKE SURE YOU RUN THE BLACK WIRE TO GROUND FIRST!

See if it powers on: if it does its something with the harness you wired, if not its a fried HU

Yes any 12v battery will work, the "power supply" or step-down transistors in the cd player is what changes it to 5V.

Make sure that it does indeed read 12-12.6 volts...any less than 12 and it may/may not power up

make sure you press the power button too after you hook up the black to ground and the red+yellow to positive. dont think it crapped out on you if it doesnt turn right on.
