Is anyone running the MMW Budget control arms on their 99-06 Silverado?
If so, how do you like them?

Considering this set up for my truck but would like a little input first.
Thanks
Taylor is running his mid year "name your price" sale right now if you want to get a great price on his front end kits. Check out his FB page :)

I know a few people with the 99-06 Budget arms and they love them, both of them even lay on a 24 with ease.

I ended up going with the full front end kit they sell because i was not sure if my size tire on my 24 would lay out all the way, and i really like the full front end kit.

I_AM_Travis & chicksdigit, what issues have you had?
Sent me arms that didn't work and customer service was horrible. Made a lot of excuses about what happened and said would get new arms out to me ASAP. After waiting a few weeks and not having new arms he told me he wasn't sure when the shop would get to my arms and that if I didn't want to wait any longer he could cancel my order and refund my money. Instead he cancelled my order but didn't refund my money so then I had to file a dispute with my credit card company to get my money back.

I think I remember them posting about this on their facebook page, would have been a while ago now almost two years or something. So that picture of the cashed check with your name on it was never sent to you? That is pretty shitty.

I have ordered quite a few things from them, couple 4-links, watts link and a front arm set. I have a lot of friends that order from them as well. I have never had a problem, none of them have either to my knowledge.

I chose them because the prices were good, and the order time was guaranteed. Worked out for me fine. If your looking for a shop that builds custom products with no bad reviews, your never going to find it.

Why would someone send a refund check for a credit card order? That makes no sense. MMW would be forfeiting 3% or whatever the credit card fee was vs just refunding the money through the credit card company and avoiding the fee's. That right there is enough proof that he's lying in my opinion.

I was slightly involved on this deal because I was trying to put these damn arms on just days before camp n drag (because they took so long to get in, in the first place). I wasted alot of long nights scratching my head, trying different things etc to make those arms work before I realized they were just built wrong. Both the uppers and lowers were wrong. It's pretty shitty when you get dicked over on deals like that and dont get an apology, refund or any help and then get called the bad guy so they can save face.

i'm not sure about any pictures of a check on facebook.

i will say that i think mmw builds some very nice products and if you order from them and get the right products you will more than likely be very happy. the problem is that the customer service you'll receive from Taylor if you dont get the right product will be downright terrible.

here is how the budget arms he sent me worked out:

That's unfortunate to hear.

I think you nailed that one on the head Nekbreaker, I don't know a company out there with a perfect track record for customer service.

I_am_travis, is that picture of before any alignment was done? The camber & toe on that is ridiculous but I could understand if that was after they were just bolted on.

lol there was no way to align it. but the uppers were in as far as possible, but there was too much positive camber for the wheels to even tuck into the fender...he said he had custom built a set of uppers that were longer than stock for a customer and must have accidentally sent me those instead. so we tried to use just the lowers, because they looked like they fit fine until we tried to turn the steering wheel and the arm hit the spindle after about 1/4 of a turn...

Lower ball joints that come with the full kit were not up to standards for me on the avalanche arms. Driven less than 100 miles after installation and the boot literally ripped in half and would not stay on the joint

Replaced both ball joints with moog because the boots are crimped on the ball joints

Wow that tire looks crazy....I think he was right, they look like they were the wrong product all together?? ???

The guys i know that have the arm sets on their truck, they look absolutely nothing like that. When he had his tubular chopper block arms on the truck, he had something like 8 degrees negative camber and was just like he said not align-able at shop couldn't touch it. With the MMW arms its at 1.5 degrees, and we got ours aligned on the same day.

im happy with my parts and my service, heck i just got a random shirt in the mail also from them. That is all i can say, anyone i personally know is happy also.
