I am getting parts together for my exhaust and I have a question about mufflers. I know that a shorter muffler case means louder sound but what about the diameter of the case?

These are the two I'm looking at.

wider means deeper usually. So if you go with the 6" you will have loud from how long the muffler is and deep because of the diameter

1slammedgmc....i did the swap on my truck and couldnt be happier, love how the bullet sounds over the flowmaster i had.

3" single in/out is ideal for the nbs motors IMO

I thought it was:
4.8 = 2.5
5.3 = 2.75
6.0 = 3
