i have a 99 sierra and it has the 4.3L V6 and i am having problems with my distributer i have replace three times with in the last six months because it has a problem sealing and everytime it rains it gets water in it and it starts to curode fast and miss fire at higher rpms has anyone had this problem and how did you fix it

Are you sure it's not the air conditioner line above it? It may start to sweat and drip onto the cap. Same thing happened to my dads.

i don't think that is it but it could be cause it only happens when it rains but that is somthin i will check out

Its a TSB, the AC line runs right abouve the dist. and drips into the dist corroding it, happens most on long drives with the AC on. To fix it just put some wire loom over the ac line to keep it from dripping right on teh dist, about a foot long piece, so it drips out either side around the dist.
